Is it Tuesday already? Wow! Only 3 more days till the weekend!
Posted on 21/08/2007 at 21:28:00 by MakTheYakA new iMac arrived in the office today. It's very nice. But let's face it, the specs aren't altogether that much greater than the old ones. And although it looks very nice 1) so do the white ones and 2) when you're a programmer and your natural environment is in a darkened corner, you don't really see so much that's around the screen as that which is on the screen, especially how thick it is front to back. A notable improvement would have been an extra couple of USB slots on the back. And a small oven in which one could bake muffins and other such dough based snacks.
That all said and done, please enjoy today's Markaduke.
Monday blues

Bizarre Marmaduke

I got experimental in the kitchen last night. I had some smoked haddock and so I thought I'd cook a Kedgeree. I searched the net for some recipes and came up with a few, but they varied quite a bit. So I decided to mix and match. I took some bits from one recipe and some from another and shook it up a bit. It worked quite well! So now that's MY recipe for Kedgeree. It feels good having your own recipes!
Car services are expensive
Posted on 18/08/2007 at 15:10:21 by MakTheYakOuch, I just got my car serviced and it cost an arm and a leg (although a significant portion of that was the cost of two new tires). They didn't half keep me waiting a long time either! I managed to run down the batteries on my DS during that time as well (upsetting). Still, it's now in top health for another 12,000 miles. I'll be back before I know it.
