Up early this morning
Posted on 10/10/2007 at 06:40:28 by MakTheYakUnusual for me, but I managed to get out of bed shortly after the alarm went off. I believe this is because it actually went off this morning. Other mornings I remain convinced that the alarm actually fails to sound. This is possibly because I have got used to the sound of it now. This is not a good thing.
I use my phone as my alarm. This is quite a nice arrangement as when I get used to the sound of the alarm I can change which ringtone it uses to wake me up and hopefully get another few weeks out of it. This rarely lasts the year until I get a new phone because there simply aren't enough ringtones to last that amount of time. To make matters worse I was bullied into an 18 month contract and so I'm stuck with my mediocre phone for 6 months longer than usual.
So to summarise, I want a good, loud, standalone alarm that I won't get used to. And an iPhone. I know I only just mentioned that so to put it in the summary is a little odd but the fact is that so long as it remains exclusive to O2 and O2's tariff is as appallingly bad as it is currently, I won't be getting one. Such is life.
Marmaduke is inciting hatred against dogs. I hope he doesn't get arrested for it or anything...
Big News!
Posted on 09/10/2007 at 18:09:42 by MakTheYakWell, here's today's strip if you were wondering.
Oh, that's not big enough news for you? Well how about this: I'm going to work for the BBC! Yeah, that's right - the Beeb! Unfortunately nothing glamorous or much more exciting than what I'm doing currently (that's because it's pretty much the same as what I'm doing currently) but it's the BBC! I'm excited just thinking of the possibilities that this could lead to. And of course it's based in London baby... I love Cambridge but I've been missing London since I finished my degree so it'll be nice to get back into the thick of it.
I saw that around 7 million people live in London. That's insane! That's over 10% of the UK's population all in that one small space. Amazing!
OK, who saw Robin Hood?
Posted on 08/10/2007 at 12:55:34 by MakTheYakI can't believe it's back! Hooray! It's a damn fine show. The only way they could improve it would be to make it with pirates and set it at sea. But that's what Pirates of the Caribbean is for!
Here is a new Marmaduke strip for your enjoyment. It's not my finest work but it's part of the collection so it goes in the archive.
Rock on I say - rock on
Posted on 07/10/2007 at 10:16:19 by MakTheYakFirst off, here's today's strip.
Second, please go and check out my friend Dan's website. He makes music and is ever so good at it! You can even buy his album on iTunes.
Third, if you don't have a DS already (for shame), The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass is a very good reason to get one. It's a totally awesome game and if you ever doubted to touch screen's capabilities it's time to think again because the entire game is played without buttons! It's not out in the UK yet so pre-order it (or import it) now!
Long time no see
Posted on 06/10/2007 at 11:17:19 by MakTheYakHola! I'm back and I bring comics! Not one, but two!
The first one is here. Now it's kind of obscure and there's probably about 3 people in the world who will get it, which is why I felt the need for a smashing double update - the second part of which can be found here!
Enjoy your weekend!
